An online MySQL database application for youth workers and their clients, young people.
The requirement to readily produce detailed reports on all aspects of the data was paramount, and tools were developed to produce these simply, using the latest data.
High level charts could be generated, as well as tabular reports with sortable data columns.
All the data held could be exported to other packages if required, so users could analyse their data in Excel for example.

An online MySQL database application for CPCAB, a UK qualification awarding body for professional counselling practitioners, trainers and supervisors.
Providing online registration for centres, their group courses and candidates, capturing details of Centres, Tutors, and Registrations.
Featuring automatic e-mail notification of approvals, the ability to upload candidates manually and by batch file upload, reviewing and updating registration details, recording candidate assessments, and printing of candidate certificates.

MyLIMS Laboratory Sample Logging/Tracking

MyLIMS is an online MySQL database application for recording details of both clinical and trial blood specimens for an HIV/GUM research laboratory.
The application dealt with large volumes, and had to be simple and quick to use. Specimens were logged in and sample tube labels automatically printed, and the database updated with
the minimum of user input.
This was achieved by employing sample Wizards, guiding the user through simple questions about the sample, and making use of information already setup beforehand, such
as Trials, Patient Visits, Sample Types, Tests, etc. E-mailing of sample receipts to the relevant physicians was totally automated.
This is a modular application, containing add-ons for Sample Tracking (freezer location), Shipping, Invoicing, and Document Management

The website has an easy to use filter for make/model, price and location searching. Visitors wishing to sell their vehicles pay a small subscription fee in order to do so.
The site features 'Car/Bike of The Day', file uploading of user's vehicle photos, and has complete back-end administration tools.

British Airways - a thank you
I was commissioned by BA's Operational Research department to develop a tool to provide a daily, in-depth analysis of all aspects of baggage
performance, an important key performance indicator. I built a secure intranet site allowing managers to view many different aspects of volume, flow, timing, etc, using online drill-down reporting.
This sourced it's information from a large Oracle data warehouse, and provided the information via browser to desktops all over Heathrow.
